The referee blows the whistle to signal the game start as sophomore Anthony Triplett jumps above the opposing player and wins the tip-off. Only a few minutes in, Tonka’s JV boys basketball team drove the ball down the court to make the first basket of the night. The game ended with a Tonka win, 63-48 and a loud fight song, sung by students in the packed bleachers.

“When our team won, I was so excited. It felt great to witness a win,“ sophomore Justice Thompson said. “I love to come and watch my friends play for our school. This wasn’t my first Tonka basketball game, and it definitely isn’t the last.”
