Cooking up something good

Sophomore Alex Parker measures out some vanilla extract for the muffins he and his chef group are making during a March 14 lab.  Students in Foods I were able to design a customized muffin recipe for their final assignment before spring break and learned valuable skills while doing so.

“It’s great to know techniques in the kitchen and even just fundamentals are really important,” Foods teacher Nicole O’Dell said. “A lot of these kids, they’re not learning it anywhere else.”
