Women’s History Month
Harriet Tubman, Cady Stanton, Amelia Earhart, Rosy the Riveter, Maya Angelou, Sally Ride, Oprah Winfrey, Rosa Parks, Malala Yousafzai, Hilary Clinton, Kamala Harris. These are people that come to my mind immediately when someone asks me who reminds you of women’s history month.
Harriet Tubman escaped slavery and led hundreds of people who were slaves to freedom along the Underground Railroad.
Cady Stanton was an Author, lecturer, and chief philosopher of the woman’s rights movements, and a well-educated woman
Amelia Earhart was an author, the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean.
Rosy the Riveter is a cultural icon for women in World War 2, who represented women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War 2.
Maya Angelou was an American poet, and a civil rights activist. She created plays, movies, tv shows, and essays.
Sally Ride was an American astronaut, she is known as the 3rd woman in space and the first American women in space.
Oprah Winfrey is a very well-known American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist.
Rosa Parks, most known for the Montgomery bus boycott. Rosa Parks was an American activist during the civil rights movement. She is also known as “the mother of freedom”
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education.
Hilary Clinton is a American politician, writer, first lady of the united states, diplomat, and lawyer.
Kamala Harris is the vice president of the united states, an American politician and first Asian America vice president.
These are just 11 wonderful women. Happy Women’s History Month to every woman, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, grandmother, and niece out there. Remember you can do whatever you put your mind to if you just believe in yourself like all these women did.
