Dear Diary,
It snowed over the weekend. It was a LOT of snow, so there’s no school today. I get to stay home and have a longer winter break, so I’m glad.
Maybe I’ll read a book, watch movies or go build a snowman. – Destiny
Tuesday, January 7
Dear Diary,
There’s still a ton of snow, so we can’t go back to school yet. I love staying home. Snow days are the best!
Today is an AMI day, so I need to go on my laptop and join online conferences from 8 a.m. to noon. Hopefully, the work will be easy. – Destiny
Wednesday, January 8
Dear Diary,
Oh. Another AMI day. At least I get to stay home again, and I won’t have to be at school until almost 3 p.m.
My conference calls were kind of boring yesterday, but people were probably just tired. The work was easy, so I can’t complain. I think today will be a lot more fun! – Destiny
Thursday, January 9
Dear Diary,
Another virtual learning day? Really?
I get it. We stay home, no in-person classes, less work, no loud and annoying kids or teahers who’ll talk your head off, but come on…I learn letter in person. I want to work on these assignments with my friends and I want to start my new class. I’m doing work for a health class that I haven’t even been to yet. I don’t even know what my teacher looks like! But it’s alright, I guess.
The roads are really starting to clear up. We’ll probably have school tomorrow, so I might as well just enjoy this while it lasts.
We never get this much snow. – Destiny
EDITOR’S NOTE: Destiny was wrong. The week ended with another virtual learning day on January 10. Overnight, more snow fell. This freshly fallen snow covered the icy patches underneath making the roads dangerous for drivers in the morning.
