Art students painted up Crown Center for the annual Chalk and Walk on Sept. 7-8, recreating an “old” painting with a modern twist. Winnetonka chose to adapt “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt, painting the characters as two women instead of a heterosexual couple. They also included a ring on one woman’s finger to recognize art teacher Amy White’s recent engagement to her girlfriend.
