Senior Makenzie Wren comforts sophomore Kaley Kumpf after she struck out during the Sept. 6 softball game against Raytown South High School. Despite the strike out, the girls earned their first win of the season, beating the Cardinals by 15 runs.

My teammates pick me up by just being there for me no matter what and reminding me that I am a good softball player no matter what I do on the field,” Kumpf said.
