Band, choir and orchestra students competed at the MSHSAA state music festival on April 28. In order to be able to compete, all musicians had to previously earn an exemplary (1) rating at the district level on March 9 and 10.

 

At state festival students must play their solos and ensembles for a judge who rates them on a scale of 1 (high) to 5 (low).

 

Band Outstanding (2) ratings:

Nick Alumbaugh – trumpet solo

Bella Middaugh – clarinet solo

Dillon Osborne – tuba solo

Harper Ross – piano solo

 

Choir Exemplary (1) ratings:

Maddie Fields – vocal solo

Jackson Mattingly – vocal solo

Lana Moerer – vocal solo

 

Choir Outstanding (2) ratings:

Cameron Daniel – vocal solo

Katie Marshall – vocal solo

 

Orchestra Exemplary (1) ratings:

Katie Bullock – cello solo

Riley Davison and Mattie Peter – violin duet

Jessica Glaszczak – violin solo

Mattie Peter – violin solo

 

Orchestra Outstanding (2) ratings:

Savannah Brown – violin solo

Kelsey Cowden – viola solo

Riley Davison – violin solo
