Freshman Nicole Bolton waits in anticipation for the baton handoff from freshman Evana Loukawilla in the 4x200 meter relay.

 

The track team took sixth place at their varsity meet on April 13 at the District Activities Complex.

The meet functions as a fundraiser for the track team. Six other schools, including North Kansas City, Ruskin, Central and Park Hill South attended the meet.

The team had several first place finishers, including junior Lily Abdulla in the women’s open 400 meter and junior Dinedye Denis in the women’s open 100 meter. Both Abdulla and Denis also took first place in the women’s 4×400 meter relay along with senior Cayla Adamson and sophomore Ashley Johnson.
