Sophomore Gyininowa Toma and sophomore Hailey Grant partner up to put together the secret message buried inside the DNA in science teacher Jeff Janzen’s Principles of Biomedical class on Feb. 16. Students were to do a more complex set of DNA with the various components in transcribing and decoding. They had learned the connections proteins make with amino acids. They cut and taped the letters and numbers.

“It was a lot of fun, at the end it was funny because the message said, ‘He likes to sleep’ which I can relate to,” Toma said.
