In the lead role, sophomore Madison Mayes stands up on stage with the other leading cast members, in her short story “October 10th.” After the scene had ended and the guy was caught cheating, leaving Madison’s character falling on her knees, the cast bowed their heads and congratulated director Megan Foster for sharing her own experiences in the play she wrote.  Foster said she felt honored to write and produce her story.

“I liked playing my own lead role in Shorts and I want to stay in theatre,” Mayes said.
