Freshmen Vincent Rizzo and junior Sally Dishman salsa dancing at the winter dance on Feb. 6.

This year the winter dance theme was called the Blackout Dance which differed from last year. Last years winter dance was called the Sweetheart Dance and was a formal event while the Blackout Dance was informal.

“I like to get dressed up and take pictures but there are two other dances for that so the informal dance was fun and had a larger turn out than last year, ” junior Kamryn Cain said.

The dance was hosted by STUCCO and there were about 100 students in attendance to the event. In addition to a blacklight there were many strobe light affects. For future winter dances STUCCO is considering keeping the dances informal.
