Yōki is a unique Japanese inspired retail store. Their name is spin off of the Japanese word “cheerful”.

Yōki offers a wide range of mascot-branded products, featuring Hello Kitty, Totoro, Super Mario, Pokemon, and many different anime characters; as well as office supplies and stationaries, Japanese snacks and beverages, a huge tea selection, beauty products, and fashion items, etc.

Everything appears to be reasonably priced nothing is too expensive;  the candy is pretty cheap as well. You don’t need a whole lot of money to enjoy Yōki.

It’s a great place to get some snacks or just to hang out. It’s fun to go there with your friends.

The only problem with Yōki is if you are not into anime, you would not like this store.

Yōki gets a B+ for it’s unique concept.   Yōki is located in two different locations; one at the City Market in Downtown Kansas City, and another one in the Independence Center Mall.
